What to Consider When Buying a Projector or Interactive Whiteboard

Screen size alone does not determine the right choice. Ambient light, viewing distance, connectivity and service terms all affect the total cost.

Start with the space and purpose
A display used throughout the school day and an occasional meeting-room presentation need different solutions. Note room dimensions, the furthest viewer, light sources and the content to be shown.

Consider both picture and interaction
Do you only need to project content, or do you want to write and work directly on screen? Compare installation and everyday use of projection-based interactive systems and touchscreen panels.

Try the actual connections
Check computer video outputs, touch connections and operating-system compatibility. Ask whether required cables and adapters are included, and test wireless sharing on the actual network.

Compare the same scope
Review installation, stands or brackets, cabling, software licences and user support as well as the device price. Confirm warranty terms and the service scope in writing.
